yes I've really had enough now! On Sunday I was woken by a call from HSBC who have stopped my card and closed my account because there has been a fraud and my card has been cloned..........sadly they closed the account AFTER whoever it was had emptied it!!! (that will be refunded but not till this Friday!!) And of course my card was stopped too, so no mobile top-up, no access to cash, no means of paying to fill the car ready to collect Barney (maybe on Monday) Had to plead with HSBC to open and restore some money so I could get petrol at least and they graciously allowed me 1/2 hour to dash to designated and not-very-near cash point.........in my nightie!!!(thank goodness it was VERY early in the morning!!!!) That done, I came home and got on with Sunday....then panicked that the garage might be closed today so went out for 1/2 hour to get petrol, only to get back and discover I had been burgled!!! Not much taken (my Ipod. a precious watch, some tablets etc) but SUCH a mess......and the three big dogs were all asleep in the lounge, useless lot, no Bonios for a month! They probably barked but are notoriously friendly to everyone so useless as guards. Anyway, rant over, here's the good bits: Forensics have been to take prints today and I can now hopefully put all my stuff back in the drawers and sleep in my un-trashed bedroom tonight, I must admit I was too scared to last night. AND the puppy is home, on complete bedrest for 4-6weeks and only allowed out 4 times a day to pee etc, and must NOT gain any weight at all in that time...............hmmmmm, could be fun!! MH went crazy when we got Barney back here but has not been allowed to have any contact with the baby boy yet..............its going to be a LONG 6 weeks. Sorry Julie, I forgot not everyone knows..............Barney has had a long standing (well, 5 of his 7months!!) problem with his silly fat little legs and this has worsened. To cut a long story short he has been in Bristol Uni vet hospital for 6days, had major surgery. He's a big dog on corgi legs and very heavy, especially as he's on Methadone for pain relief so he's mostly off his face., and couldn't stand long without falling over (which he must NOT do!!).................trust me to get the Junkie pup!! Think I may need his drugs by thee end of a long few weeks, don't you? I have him penned at the moment so he can't wander at all, and have to carry him outside for pees and poos, which he hasn't quite twigged yet........ he spent a long time propped against a lilac bush gazing dopily into space, but nothing happened!! and re the burglary, the more I look the more I see is missing but nothing really major; Anna helped me change the bedlinen and we agreed we'd throw it away, couldn't face having sh..tty sheets and quilt/pilowcases on my bed even if they were boiled for a month, filthy so and so's.................but the mucky knickers in the drawer will have to be boiled, can't replace everything while I wait for an insurance decision...................yuk, makes me feel really ill to think someone could foul a place like that, the loo is VERY close!!! Always be aware that what you do might hurt others........and if it could, do nothing without careful consideration of the consequences

Oh Lylie, I am speechless at this atrocity! It is just too terrible for words.
I am hoping the bank will pay up soon, but how worrying to not have access to any money at all.
SO pleased Barney is home, hope he rests well, and you are sleeping better, it must be absolutely devastating to think what they have done to your home.
Will e/mail you...
MUCH love and prayers,
Amanda

Oh my god Lylie, they did that too? Appalling, utterly appalling. May bad things happen to them. I'm sorry, know i shouldn't say that but I have. And poor Barney too, I didn't know. Yes, just trust you! It's like us and Bud, we are the only people to have a van with 'DOG PSYCHOLOGIST' written large parked outside our house!!! YES I'VE CHANGED, PAIN DOES THAT TO PEOPLE.

Oh Lylie! What an awful time! I am so sorry that it happened.
And JulieM - my beliefs mean that Bad Things WILL happen to them - what goes around, comes around! I can't guess what that will be, but it will be in the same scale as the trouble they caused Lylie.

Oh Lylie.... simply awfull. SO sorry you have had to go through all of that, especially in one chunk. Unfortunately, I have heard of burglars doing that.... it's utterly disgusting.
I must admit though, I did have a little smile at the thought of the 'spaced out' puppy staring into space into the garden. Bless him!
Lots of love, Jan xxx

Lylie I got really angry when reading this, the public have bailed out the banks, yet this is how they treat someone with disability, it's disgraceful. As for the scum who burgled your home, I wouldn't want to post how this made me feel as I know we have some younger members on the forum. My thoughts are with you, and if there's ever anything I can do to help, I'm not too far away on the train, should you need it. I don't want to say what I personally think of HSBC ... what with being a valued customer of theirs myself ... it certainly wouldn't be publishable I can't believe you've had such a rotten time of it! How is it so many sh**tty things happen all in one go. I'd call HSBC customer services and (once you've learnt a foreign language 'cos you'll need it) give them hell!! Joanna

Lylie
I am so sorry to hear what has happened to you. What people do today is beyond my comprehension and I wonder how much worse this world can get.
I truly hope things start looking up for your soon and really admire your bravery through all of this.
Take care
Jackie xx

Aw, thank you all, its been a really rotten Easter and really felt low all over the "holiday" so did my best to cheer up when a very dishy Detective Constable came to take another statement; must say the police have all been great, and are recommending to the housing association that I have new front AND back doors (they are over 25years old and half plywood, half glass!!), a security light out the back (formerly refused as too costly and unnecessary!!) AND a slope instead of me-made steps outside the back door! TOLD YOU HE WAS GORGEOUS (and married!!!) And I have a person from the housing associations "OLDER tenant team" (who, me????) coming tomorrow about the broken shower....fingers crossed I get at least a new one, at best a proper cubicle instead of over the bath!! STOP PRESS: my grandson has broken his elbow in a fall, may need surgery, waiting for update from very worried mummy , more when I know! 10.18pm....More on Morgan......has been in A and E for three hours now and they have JUST triaged him, and sent him to xray ...all this after being seen at our local hospital first and referred on, WITH his xray.................Helen is exhausted and Morgan very tired and upset, I've told Helen to do a bit of jumping up and down and getting ratty !!! They asked her if she was drunk when she took him in, because of her disability, and debated whether to call Social Services, but hubby dealt with that one . Bloody assumptions, as in other posts I read a few moments ago (but can't remember where!) ANYONE any ideas how to persuade MH that Barney is the same puppy he loved and rioted with a few days ago? He's a very powerful dog with a big bite, and he's being really nasty to the pup, who just doesn't understand Inki's nastiness.Do those plug in pheremone thingies work? I'm astonished that he can growl actually cos he never has in two years, and I think he really means it! I am keeping B in his pen, but MH seeks him out for a moan and a grumble and I want to stop it before it really takes hold.....HELP!! Oh and HSBC....well I guess they DID notice someone had pinched my cash, so hats off to them .........even if I did have problems with exactly what she was saying!! And they DId refund immediately, even if I can 't have any for a few days. I was most worried they wouldn't pay out Barney's PETPLAN direct debit as no payment=no insurance, and the bill so far is £2,345.61p!!!!!!!!!!!!! things can only get better! Hi Lylie, Good to hear you are a bit cheerier today, though how you manage it after that I don't know! I suppose the dishy detective constable might have had something to do with it? JulieM is on her way to your house like lightning I bet after reading that!
Your poor little grandson, have you heard how he is getting on? Oh my goodness, I've just read your update! That's dreadful keeping him waiting for 3 hours with a broken elbow, and why take more x-rays? As for the way they treated Helen, well words fail me!
Sorry I can't help with the doggy problem.....is this really our beloved MH attacking Barney? Stewart is the expert on dog training , if he sees this he may be able to advise you. As if you don't have enough on your plate!
Good luck with the "older tenant " team tomorrow, I hope you get a new shower, tell them you need a wet room!
Sending lots of love and hugs to you, and to little Morgan, I do hope he gets seen soon and can be made more comfortable.
Doreen xx

((( Lylie ))) I am so sorry, words fail me at what has happened to you. First of all the dog, when my dog was unsettled my mother in law got me a plug in that emitted dog hormones to make dogs calmer, it did work, bizarre as it sounds, can't remember name though. Your grandson, that is disgraceful, 3 hours? What happened to children as a priority? I hope he was given enough pain relief during this time. Very exhausting for all concerned. I hope things get sorted with your bank and you get new doors etc without anymore inconvenience. Take care Deb x
